On behalf of the Board of City Commissioners and City Administration, the City of Madeira Beach is proud to present to you our Community Values Survey.

This opinion survey will assist policymakers – e.g., Board of City Commissioners – to chart the course for future public policy decisions that will undoubtedly impact the path this agency takes. Your opinions and perspectives are valued and the real authority in government is derived from public submission to be governed. As an agency, we want to encourage participatory governance so that you may assist this organization both now and moving forward. Working with your local government is key to our future success, and the only way we can genuinely promote exceptional governance is through working together to ensure that we all work collectively to do what is in the best interests of all residents, visitors and stakeholders in the City of Madeira Beach.

This survey is the beginning of the ongoing dialogue that staff and elected officials hope to nurture as we move forward. The survey tool will be available from Today, April 9, 2018, until Monday, May 25, 2018, at 5:00 PM., EST. The survey will be available online as well as at all city facilities. There are 30 questions that will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Commencing on May 28, 2018, staff will begin compiling and analyzing the data with the intent of providing a full recap to the Board of City Commissioners and provide aggregate survey results to the public, too.

It is our intent to conduct the survey – at minimum – on an annual basis, but we anticipate other topics to be discussed utilizing the same type of survey tool in the future. In closing, we ask that you take this survey seriously, as your responses will be shared as policymakers utilize this tool to garner your feedback. Remember, things get solved when you get involved. Should you have any questions, comments, or perspectives regarding the survey, please contact the city manager's office at (727) 391-9951 x228; you can email us at citymanager@madeirabeachfl.gov

Humbly Submitted,
