Twenty Five Division One Softball Teams in Two Weekends

Eastern Michigan University Spring Invitational returns to Madeira Beach

Madeira Beach, FL, December 10, 2016– The City of Madeira Beach announces its third annual "EMU Madeira Beach Spring Invitational" presented by Eastern Michigan University, Visit St. Pete/Clearwater Sports Commission and the City of Madeira Beach. The tournament begins February 17th-19th and finishes the following weekend of February 24th- 26th.

The Spring Invitational is expected to bring approximately 2,400 visitors to the City of Madeira Beach and surrounding communities. Along with Eastern Michigan, 11 other NCAA softball teams will be travelling to the sunshine state for the tournament this upcoming February.

Some of the crowd favorites expected to play this year are: Harvard, Boston University, Villanova, and Michigan State. Of the exciting newcomers, the Army’s college team will be participating this year.
