This week, the City of Madeira Beach kicks off Citizen Appreciation Month. All month long, their will be exciting activities organized through various partnerships throughout the city as well as numerous special offers to Madeira Beach Residents by the local participating businesses. All in all, August looks to be a great month to get out and enjoy the amazing opportunities throughout Madeira Beach.

Madeira Beach 5K Sunset Series - Final Race - 7PM - John's Pass Park
Join us on the beach for the final race of the 5K sunset series. Register online or at the beach on Friday. Race begins and ends at John's Pass Park with the post race party and awards at Hooters of John's Pass.

Fish Kids - Shaping the Next Generation of Anglers - 8AM-2PM - Madeira Beach Rec Center
Hooked On Old School Fishing and Angler Armory will be teaming up with the Knights of Columbus – Fr. Lopez Council 5737 to run a first come first serve fishing tournament for up to 150 kids ages 7 & up from 11am to noon. The entry for the tournament will be an unwrapped toy and a non-perishable food item that will go towards a local food bank for the homeless and toys to less fortunate children for the holidays.
